How to install Contur

Contur is signed with an Apple Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app downloaded from the Internet, with no workarounds in the settings. Updates then install automatically.

1. Download Contur for macOS and open the .dmg file.
2. Drag Contur to the Applications folder.
3. Open Contur from “Applications”. On the first launch macOS may ask whether to open an app downloaded from the Internet: click “Open”.
4. Contur will ask to install its helper: it sets up routes and DNS, so an administrator password is needed. You only do this once.
